TRUST GUIDE

Nine controls. Explicit boundaries.

See what each control restricts, how it is enforced and what happens when its conditions are not met.

Product guide · Based on the September 18, 2026 product documentation. Connected proof is reported for specific operations; this guide is not a new live certification. Private work and provider authorization take place in Agent.

Approval Gates

A permitted human must approve exact high-risk actions.

How it works

Approval binds candidate hash, decision, envelope/policy revisions, actor scope and expiry window.

What it can restrict

  • dispatch

What it cannot override

  • role-based access
  • provider permission
  • compliance
  • commercial denial
  • stop state

If the check fails

Deny before provider dispatch.

Preview / Dry Run

See what a prior decision proposes before material execution.

How it works

Preview is immutable and non-authoritative; decision precedes preview.

What it can restrict

  • human acceptance

What it cannot override

  • any authority gate

If the check fails

Missing/stale preview denies admitted execution when required.

Limits

  • Reading a preview is not itself connected provider proof.

Activity Log

Review decisions, effects and provider evidence.

How it works

Append/projection paths retain scoped facts and redact secret material.

What it can restrict

This is an observation and evidence control; it does not grant or directly restrict execution.

What it cannot override

  • authorization
  • evidence maturity

If the check fails

Missing evidence prevents strong claim or attribution.

Limits

  • Technical evidence is not customer proof or social proof.

Hard Limits

Cap how many/value of admitted effects may occur.

How it works

Non-consuming check followed by atomic reserve immediately before dispatch.

What it can restrict

  • effect count
  • value
  • scope

What it cannot override

  • platform authority
  • role-based access
  • provider readiness

If the check fails

Exhausted/stale limit denies dispatch.

Kill Switch

Stop new operational effects.

How it works

Non-running stop states deny new effects; accepted irreversible effects remain reconciled.

What it can restrict

  • new operational effects

What it cannot override

  • already accepted irreversible provider effect

If the check fails

Fail closed; authorized human-only resume creates a new authority revision.

Limits

  • Cannot pretend an already accepted provider effect was cancelled.

Gradual Autonomy

Delegate per function and scope rather than all at once.

How it works

Versioned assignments are bound to workspace, function, object/provider scope, ceiling and envelope revision.

What it can restrict

  • function
  • scope
  • autonomy level

What it cannot override

  • underlying authority

If the check fails

Stale or wider assignment is denied.

Limits

  • Not every function/provider is connected-proven at AUTO.

Shadow Mode

Evaluate predictions without provider effects.

How it works

No reservation and no provider call; human acceptance is required for a new delegation revision.

What it can restrict

  • external effect

What it cannot override

  • human delegation acceptance

If the check fails

Remain no-effect and record uncertainty.

Limits

  • Integration-proven, not whole-capability connected-proven.

Reversible-by-Default

Prefer lower-risk reversible dispositions and escalate irreversible actions.

How it works

Decision engine classifies risk/reversibility before preview and approval.

What it can restrict

  • autonomy disposition

What it cannot override

  • provider irreversibility

If the check fails

Require approval or deny.

Limits

  • Deletion remains irreversible and requires explicit operation-scoped authority.

Permission Envelope

Set the maximum allowed workspace/function/object/provider scope.

How it works

Monotonic-deny conjunction with underlying role-based access, compliance, commercial and provider authority.

What it can restrict

  • function
  • object
  • provider
  • value
  • autonomy

What it cannot override

  • any upstream denial

If the check fails

Outside-envelope action is denied.
